Are the documents legally binding?+
Enforceability depends on the document, jurisdiction, facts and execution requirements. Templates and AI output require your review. Quill does not certify legal validity or provide an attorney review.
Are the e-signatures valid?+
Quill records consent, signer email, timestamps and signing evidence. Electronic signing is available only for supported workflows; it does not replace required witnesses, notarization or identity verification.
Is Quill a law firm?+
No. Quill is self-help software, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. For complex or high-stakes situations, have a licensed attorney in your state review your document.
How is my data handled?+
Documents are private unless you share access. AI requests go to the configured provider under its terms. See the privacy policy for processing, storage, deletion and backup retention.
What counts as fair use?+
The displayed allowances are enforced. Imports use 5 AI actions. Paid monthly allowances reset on the UTC calendar; Free and purchase credits are one-time. Daily caps also apply. No automatic overage charges.
Can I keep editing and downloading?+
You can edit before requesting signatures. Signed copies are frozen and downloads remain available while the document is retained, including after a subscription ends. Deleting a document does not restore its creation credit.
