Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Quill (docs.oodac.com) is operated by oodac (“we,” “us”). Quill provides self-help software for creating, editing, sharing, and electronically signing legal documents. By using Quill you agree to these Terms.
2. Not a law firm
Quill is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Documents and AI-generated suggestions are general information produced at your direction. No attorney–client relationship is created. Laws vary by jurisdiction; you are responsible for ensuring a document fits your situation, and we encourage review by a licensed attorney for significant matters.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or an emailed link — no passwords are stored. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You may close your account at any time by contacting quill@oodac.com.
4. Your documents
You own the documents you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, render, export, and transmit them at your direction (for example, emailing a signing link to a signer you designate). We never sell your documents or use them to train AI models.
5. Electronic signatures
Quill's e-signature flow is designed to comply with the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA: signers affirmatively consent to sign electronically, and we record an audit trail. You are responsible for confirming e-signature is legally sufficient for your document type and jurisdiction — some documents (e.g., wills) require ink signatures, witnesses, or notarization, as noted in the product.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Quill to break the law, infringe others' rights, create fraudulent or deceptive documents, send spam, probe or disrupt the service, or attempt unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Fees
During the launch period, Quill is free. If we introduce paid plans, prices will be shown clearly before any purchase and these Terms will be updated. Documents you created before a pricing change remain accessible.
8. Disclaimers & liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR THAT ANY DOCUMENT MEETS YOUR LEGAL NEEDS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS, AND WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
9. Changes; governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Contact: quill@oodac.com.
